Another Reason to Lay Off the Carbs!

Here is yet another reason to take it easy on the carbs!

Its amazing how the more educated we get, the more we research the old high carb, low fat diet that we were all raised on, the more we find out how wrong and ultimately bad it is for us.

Most of the research we read and hear about as it pertains to carbs deals with the release of the hormone insulin in response to the elevated sugar levels in our blood.  And how chronic high levels of insulin in our blood leads to insulin resistance which can lead to obesity, diabetes and a host of other ailments.

This article takes a look at the impact of sugar(carbs) from its effect on and the reaction from the brain. It specifically deals with why we get tired after eating carb heavy meals, more reasons why it leads to us getting fatter and what we can do about it...........The quick answer is  Eat More Protein!  or at the very least make sure you have some protein with every meal, but we're all doing that anyway, right!
